Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Højbjerg: We can't dwell on Wolves defeat

Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Højbjerg says they must not dwell on defeat to Wolves.

Saints blew a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 on Saturday.

"It's a bit too emotional right now, going up then going down," said Højbjerg following the game.

“But the big picture we can't get away from is that we've done well and luckily we have an opportunity in three days' time to keep building, to keep growing and to keep taking the opportunities."

Saints play Crystal Palace on Tuesday night, an occasion the captain said the squad is looking forward to despite missing out on the three points on Saturday.

“There is a really good feeling, a good atmosphere. People and everybody are very happy to work hard to do what's necessary.

“That's a great feeling and it's working. Like I said, we'll bounce back and we're excited for the next challenge coming up."
