Southampton boss Ronald Koeman retains hope of a deal for ex-Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt.
The Daily Star Sunday says Koeman has been hoping Kuyt would join his St Mary's revolution and add experience to his young squad.
Kuyt, 34, is leaving Fenerbahce at the end of the season but looks set to join Feyenoord instead.
The Dutchman is off contract in June.
