Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl says they must replace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer.
Hasenhuttl insists Southampton must be "active" in replacing the departing Hojbjerg.
The midfielder has been stripped of his captaincy after refusing to sign a new contract.
And Hasenhuttl - who has confirmed there are a few clubs interested - says his side must be aggressive in finding an alternative.
"As always, I don't want to speak about any rumours, any possibilities. But you can be sure there are a few clubs around this," he said.
“For sure we know when Pierre is leaving we have to find an alternative and that we have another few positions where we are a little bit struggling.
“We have to keep our eyes open and be active in those positions for sure."
