Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl was coy regarding the future of Liverpool loanee Takumi Minamino.
The Japan star has impressed with the Saints since arriving on loan in January, scoring two goals in seven appearances.
He cannot play against his parent club in the Premier League at the weekend, and Hasenhuttl is not sure whether the 26-year-old will be at the south coast club next term.
Asked if talks had taken place about next term with Minamino, Hasenhuttl said, per the Daily Echo: "No, not yet. We try to give him as much game time as possible.
"I think he felt quite comfortable with us, he showed in the last game against Leicester also his defensive qualities, he was working hard for the team.
"His mentality is of a very strong player.
"He made a good job in the few attempts he had for us and we don't know yet what happens in the summer."
