Southampton boss Hasenhuttl hails performance after victory at Crystal Palace

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl was delighted after victory at Crystal Palace.

Nathan Redmond and Stuart Armstrong both scored as Southampton claimed a fine win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park to secure their fourth successive away victory in the Premier League.

Hasenhuttl said, "I think it was one of our best performances of the season. It's not so easy to win here. Especially with the ball in the first half, we were absolutely fantastic - very flexible and hard to defend against.

"We created a lot of chances but it was only 1-0 at half-time. In the second half it was important that we did not make the same mistakes as we did against Wolves but we were very clinical and came up with a beautiful goal from Stuey.

"Throughout the team - the behaviour, belief - everyone is absolutely committed. They know what they have to do and the atmosphere is fantastic. Everyone enjoys to play."

On the performance of Redmond, he added: "Nathan gave by far his best performance of this season. In that form, at number 10, he is our most important player.

"He had a difficult time at the start of the season, when like the rest of the team he was struggling, but the turnaround has been fantastic.
