Southampton boss Nigel Adkins has dropped goalkeeper Kelvin Davis for their clash with Aston Villa.

Adkins is giving a Premier League debut to 20-year-old Argentine Paulo Gazzaniga at home to Aston Villa today.

Gazzaniga signed a four-year deal with Saints after a summer move from League Two side Gillingham.

The Argentinian's only start was in last month's 4-1 Capital One Cup win at Stevenage.
