Sorensen demands pay-rise for Stoke stay

Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is demanding an improved contract.

The Dane agreed a reduced salary when he signed his latest deal in return for a bonus every time he plays.

But Sorensen, 34, was left out of pocket last season after losing his starting place to Asmir Begovic.

Sorensen said: "When I signed my latest contract it was from the perspective that I was the starting keeper.

"We agreed my salary with a bonus based on performances. I'm not interested in a reduced salary. All I hope for is dialogue."
