Sonny Perkins hit a hat-trick for West Ham U18 in victory over Reading in their opening U18 Premier League South clash.
Perkins netted a 'perfect' hat-trick: goals with his head, right foot and left foot.
"It was the perfect start to the season," Perkins told West Ham TV. “Obviously there was a lot of build-up going into the first game, but to get the three points was the most important thing.
“I can't deny I'm happy to score three goals! It's what you work towards, and hopefully there's more to come.
“It's not a position I've played loads in, but I think I've got the attributes to be able to do it, and of course if the manager asks me to do a different role then I'll always do it for him.
“I think I managed to do it quite well today. Getting goals is obviously what I wanted to do, so I'm happy to be able to do it."
