The son of Lionel Messi is joining Barcelona's junior teams.

Messi has admitted this week son Thiago is yet to show any enthusiasm for football.

However, Sport says Messi Jr will be enrolled in a new junior initiative with FCBEscola, devised by director Oscar Grau for kids between 3-5 years of age.

The project is open to all sons and daughters of the five professional sections of Barca, plus employees of the club.

"I am not going to buy him a lot of balls or force him because he does not like it very much. Let's see if he shows interest, it would be a good start," Messi said of his son this week.
