The son of former Manchester United and West Ham goalkeeper Les Sealey has confirmed takeover interest in Bury.
Joe Sealey, who trained alongside the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard during his youth career at West Ham, is a former agent and owns several gyms in Cheshire.
He told the Daily Mail: "I'm 100 per cent interested in the club.
"I met with Bury six or seven weeks ago. I met the current owner. I went through the financials.
"What was being discussed at the time was he wanted a million-plus for the club. When we looked at it, I thought this is going to administration and is worth nothing.
"It needs an investment to save it. The money he wanted was needed to pay the debtors.
"I think we would look at it again. It's a sad situation where a club gets promoted and is going to go out of business."
