The son of former Liverpool owner George Gillett is in talks to buy Derby County.
Foster Gillett, who was appointed a director at Anfield during his father's and Tom Hicks' tenure as Liverpool owners, is said to have held talks with Rams' owner Mel Morris, says the Daily Mail.
Gillett Jnr visited Pride Park towards the end of last season and any prospective takeover is being valued at around £60million.
Premier League chasers Derby County reached the play-off final under Frank Lampard last season but lost out to Aston Villa at Wembley.
The former England midfielder left the club to become manager of Chelsea this summer.
