Tottenham goalscorer Heung-min Son was happy after their 2-0 defeat of West Brom.

Son, who has provided much of Tottenham's attacking threat this season alongside fellow goalscorer Harry Kane, praised his team-mate after Sunday's match, claiming that his early return will help Spurs kick on and achieve better things during the remainder of the campaign.

"The lads wanted to win this game," said Son. "We had a couple of bad results in a row so it was very important to bounce back and get back to winning ways.

"Harry Kane is so, so important for us. He is one of the best strikers in the world. It was only a couple of games but we missed him a lot.

"Him coming back and scoring straight away, it's what we needed. I missed him.

"The team put a lot of effort in for me and for other players. It's important we show that we can score some goals.

"I think it's very important that we believe that we can do better things than even today. Obviously we got the result today but we can do better. I trust my team."
