Solskjaer warns Man Utd players: If you're not ready for July 1 then stay at home

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed the players will break up with tailored fitness programs to be prepared for preseason.

Solskjaer has made it clear the players need to be fitter for next season.

He said: "The players have all got their programs with what to do over the summer. We expect them to be ready to go on July 1st when we start. We will not spend the first ten days building them up, they should be ready.

"We have a longer summer holiday than all the other challengers, and must use it as an advantage. It's not like a threat, but if someone is not ready on July 1, then they will probably stay in Manchester instead of traveling with us (to Australia). We only want and need players we can use over there.

"They all have individual programs. Some need strength, others need fitness, everything is different. I have said many times: You sometimes want to see yourself in your players, and for me, the last two weeks before the season run, I tried to get in shape to impress the boss when we started again."
