Solskjaer wants Man Utd to focus on attacking additions over defence

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to ignore plans to strengthen their defence and focus on his attack this summer.

The Sun says Solskjaer wants give his defenders a chance to prove themselves before addressing the problem areas.

His priority ahead of the summer is a right-winger, with SunSport revealing last month interest in England youngster Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund.

United are also monitoring Juventus' Douglas Costa and are long-term admirers of Inter Milan wide man Ivan Perisic, who regularly plays on the left flank but is comfortable on both wings.

At the back, United have Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly, with Marcos Rojo returning from injury.

Solskjaer's instant impact since taking over in December has seen an upturn in form - and hope the Norwegian's coaching could save them from breaking the world-record for a defender in the summer.
