Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes his new deal can see breakthroughs regarding player contract talks.
Juan Mata and Ander Herrera are about to enter the last three months of their contracts and talks with David de Gea over a long-term deal have become protracted.
The Norwegian is hopeful the Spanish trio will now do likewise.
"Well you have to ask them," Solskjaer said. "But to know who's the manager of the club is next season is, of course, helpful for any player to decide where he wants to play.
"We've got a couple of players we're in talks with and hopefully we can get their futures sorted."
