Solskjaer says Man Utd prepared to assist crisis clubs Bury and Bolton

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the club is prepared to assist crisis clubs Bury and Bolton Wanderers.

Bury's owner Steve Dale has been given until 23.59pm on Friday to either provide proof he can fund the club this season or hand it over to someone who can - fail to do so and the Shakers will be expelled from the EFL and go bust.

"For us, local teams - I missed a penalty at Gigg Lane, actually, for the reserves," Solskjaer said. "The Bolton situation and the Bury situation, football is hard to keep up with the top if you don't have the resources.

"As a local club, we want to see local players do well and we've recruited players from those clubs and of course we want them to do well. And if there's anything we can help them with I'm sure we'll do that, with loan players or anything."
