Solskjaer personally intervenes in Man Utd contract stand-off with De Gea

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has personally intervened in new contract talks with David de Gea.

The Times says De Gea is said to be demanding similar wages to that of Alexis Sanchez.

However, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has told De Gea's camp that such an increase is not possible.

Solskjaer has now intervened in a bid to keep his No 1 happy.

They claim Solskjaer has attempted to intervene in the contract standoff, telling De Gea he is at the forefront of his plans going forward and he will push for the club to resolve the impasse.

However, the Norwegian boss faces a tough task in convincing Woodward to change his mind.
