Solskjaer insists Man Utd not intimidated facing Liverpool

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists they're not intimidated facing Liverpool on Sunday.

Liverpool will be looking to equal Manchester City's record of 18 consecutive premier League wins on Sunday, with Solskjaer acknowledging their impressive run of form.

“They're doing well in the league, that's for sure, but we're looking forward to this game," said Solskjaer.

“It's the perfect game for the players and fans. We've had a tough time, a difficult time lately and I'm sure we'll give them a good game.

“I'm just working as planned, it's business as usual, trying to improve the team, trying to work towards something.

“We're heading somewhere, we feel, but we need results and I expect the players to come out and prove why they're at Manchester United .

“The mood in a football club is affected by results, but it's been better than expected within here and people that you meet can see what we're trying to do.

“But winning games is the biggest thing, that breeds confidence. It's a determined bunch of players and a determined club, but you can't say we walk around smiling all the time."
