Solskjaer: Good news soon for Man Utd player contracts

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the club is making good progress over player contracts.

David De Gea and Anthony Martial have 18 months left on their current deals, but are in talks to sign new long-term deals.

Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Ashley Young are all out of contract at the end of the season, with all three set to put pen to paper on extensions.

Defensive duo Phil Jones and Antonio Valencia are also out of contract this summer, although United have the option to extend their deals by a year.

“Hopefully we're going to have some good news in the coming weeks," said Solskjaer.

“I think the club's making progress but I leave that to the right people to do that I don't know really how far we are away from it."
