Solskjaer demanding Man City, Liverpool pressure from Man Utd players

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his Manchester United players working harder than ever in a bid to catch the league's top two.

Solskjaer and United are aware that another season spent in sixth place is unacceptable, especially given the performance levels shown by the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

According to the Evening Standard, the Norwegian is putting his players through double sessions in preseason in a bid to improve their fitness.

A lack of endurance is one of the biggest issues that Solskjaer noticed with the United squad when he took over as manager from Jose Mourinho in mid-December.

Compared to this time last season, United have gone through more running and intensity training.

It is set to continue as they ramp up preseason preparations ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
