Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was coy on Monday over interest in Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

United are set to come up against the Brazilian in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona on Tuesday night.

Coutinho continues to be linked with a stunning move to Old Trafford after a frustrating 18 months with the La Liga champions.

A local reporter asked the United boss: "Do you want Coutinho for next season?"

Solskjaer responded: "He is a Barcelona player" and repeated his comment when pushed for an answer.
