Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Manchester United remain in talks for "one or two" players.
Those two players are believed to be Leicester City defender Harry Maguire and Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
Reports on Tuesday also claimed United were in talks for Paulo Dybala.
And while he refused to confirm those rumours, Solskjaer admitted the club were working on potential signings.
Speaking after Tuesday's 1-0 win over Kristensunds, the Norwegian said: "I'm not here to talk about rumours about other team's players.
"We're working on one or two cases. It's 10 days or so before we start the league and hopefully we can announce a fresh face or two."
