Solanke reveals tough preseason under new Bournemouth boss Parker

Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke has revealed that he is experiencing one of the toughest pre-seasons of his career.

The Cherries are now managed by ex-Fulham boss Scott Parker.

Solanke, who is now 23, excelled last term in the Championship with 15 goals and 11 assists.

He told the club website: "It was one of the hardest first weeks of pre-season I've ever had! It's been tough but I think we will all be better for it.

"We got straight down to business on the first day and worked really hard. We all did it together and helped each other along.

"You expect to be worked hard. We are all here because we have worked hard to get here and none of us are new to it.

"Pre-season is probably the most unenjoyable part of being a footballer but it's something that has to be done."
