Socceroos defender Jade North believes the Australian team will have to be on their game to overcome a rampant Uzbekistan outfit. Australia clash with the Uzbeks in Sydney on Wednesday in World Cup qualifying and North is wary of a team that demolished Qatar 4-0 to climb off the bottom of their group.
"Judging by the result last night, they are a heavyweight team," North said yesterday.
"They cruised through the first qualifying stage, so they are going to come here and give it to us.
"We have to be prepared.
"Obviously Pim (Verbeek) put the pressure on us this week.
"He kept telling us that this team is no walkover.
"I know the media is saying this is going to be a goal feast for Australia, but it is not going to be the way.
"We will certainly have to be on our toes."
