Snubbed Ozil future at Arsenal again in doubt

Mesut Ozil's future at Arsenal is again in doubt after failing to make the squad for defeat at Liverpool.

The Mirror says Ozil's Arsenal future is under threat after the £350,000-a-week German midfielder was left in London as Unai Emery 's team suffered their first defeat of the season.

Emery opted against handing the 30-year-old playmaker his first appearance of the season as the Gunners were beaten 3-1 by Liverpool at Anfield.

And it now remains to be seen whether Ozil will stay at the Emirates as the continent's top clubs look to do business before the European transfer window closes next week.

The midfielder trained normally in recent days after recovering from a bout of illness.

But the fact he was not considered for one of Arsenal's biggest games of the season is a sign of how weak his position has become under Emery.
