Snodin expects Everton to push hard for Chelsea striker Lukaku

Everton are pushing to close a permanent deal for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

Everton league winner Ian Snodin has revealed they're prepared to pay big for the Belgian.

Snodin told the Daily Star: "I'm sure Roberto Martinez is trying to get Romelu to come back.

"Everton need strikers, definitely. It'd be nice to get players and names in already but that's not happened yet.

"Roberto's been out in Brazil and I'm sure he's earmarked who he wants. I've got every faith in him.

"Gerard Deulofeu has gone back to Barcelona but I don't we need wingers. With Aiden McGeady, Kevin Mirallas and Steven Pienaar, we're well stocked there.

"There's talk of Gareth Barry signing for Everton, which would be good.

"Other than a striker, I don't think there's a lot more we actually need."
