Snodgrass insists beating the drop isn't beyond West Brom

West Brom midfielder Robert Snodgrass insists beating the drop isn't beyond them.

The signing from West Ham feels recent performances should have resulted in more points on the board.

“We've been in every game I have played in apart from Manchester City which was a tough one to take," Snodgrass said. “But we have been capable of winning every other game I have been involved in.

“He (Allardyce) is getting the lads buying into what he does – which is keeping teams in the Premier League and winning football matches.

“We're all trying to pull in the same direction so it's been great coming in here.

“The main thing now, though, is points on the board.

“Collectively we have to stop conceding goals – because that is what wins you football matches. We are scoring goals so it's crucial we stop the ball going into our net.

“We will keep working on it on the training ground until we get it right."

Snodgrass says there is still a belief in the camp that Albion can get themselves out of trouble.

“We have to believe," he continued. “We were in the lead against both Fulham and Sheffield so we could have picked up five or six more points.

“But we can't think about that now, nor can we stop believing in this group of players.

“Even those who aren't being picked to play aren't just biding their time. They are supporting the lads that are playing.

“It's a great group of lads that we have got.

“The team that is going to get out of this relegation fight is the one that puts a run of results together. It's as simple as that."
