Sneijder expects Inter stay despite late Arsenal, Man Utd interest

Wesley Sneijder expects to see out today's transfer deadline as an Inter Milan player. Despite being linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City, Sneijder told Italian reporters last night he expects to remain with Inter.

United coach Rene Meulensteen refused to rule out a deadline day swoop for Sneijder yesterday, while Arsenal have made contact with his camp since Sunday's Old Trafford thrashing.

"I will stay with Inter," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Meanwhile, Inter were last night locked in talks with Genoa for striker Rodrigo Palacio and will continue negotiations this morning.
