Manchester City fullback Kyle Walker quickly deleted a social media post winding up Liverpool and their fans after the Reds' draw with Leicester City.
Liverpool missed the chance to extend their lead over City at the top to seven points when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Sadio Mane put the hosts into an early lead, but the Foxes came back to earn a point thanks to a goal on the stroke of half-time from Walker's England colleague Harry Maguire.
And despite the game coming just a day after Walker's City threw away a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 at Newcastle , the full-back decided to use the infamous Maguire meme from the World Cup to troll his title rivals.
Alongside the now widely seen image of Maguire he wrote: "So basically they thought they were gonna go 7 points ahead..." before quickly deleting it.
