Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was booked during their dramatic Club World Cup semifinal victory over Monterrey.
The incident occurred after Joe Gomez had accidentally handled the ball during the second half as the ball bobbled up off the turf.
The Liverpool defender was already on a yellow card after a last-man foul earlier in the match - and coach Antonio Mohamed was desperately trying to remind the referee about the previous infringement.
He rushed to the edge of his technical area waving an imaginary card - presumably red.
Official Tobar Vargas ignored the pleas initially for the caution, as he gave Gomez a talking to - while Klopp went crazy in his area due to his opposite number's reaction.
The German then seemed to beckon Mohamed towards him as if he was ready to offer him a fight before sarcastically mimicking the Argentine.
At which point Vargas stepped in to calm Mohamed down, before issuing a yellow card for his behaviour.
Klopp was seen grinning in the background as he appeared to win the battle, only for the linesman to approach him and tell him off for exiting his technical box, says the Mirror.
That led to Klopp joining Mohamed in the book.
