Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has enjoyed joining in on the speculation of a move for Barcelona star Leo Messi.

City believe they will be first choice if Messi does decide to leave Barcelona so his recent fallout has alerted club chiefs Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain.

A potential move has dominated discussion over the past few days and Laporte saw the funny side when the Argentine was mocked up in a City kit using Laporte's body.

"Not bad, but I don't know if it will still be as good with my legs in real life," the centre back replied to a picture on Twitter alongside crying laughing emojis.
