Smith on target again for Ipswich

Tommy Smith scored his second goal on the trot as Ipswich Town defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 on the weekend.

The 23-year old New Zealand international got on the end of a Daryl Murphy header, which came from Stephen Hunt's corner, to nod home from close range in the 60th minute at the Amex Stadium.

Twenty minutes later, Murphy added a second when he scored with a header when Crystal Palace loanee Jonny Williams found him with an aerial ball.

Smith scored the opener in the 3-1 loss to Wigan Athletic last Saturday and backed that up by finding the back of the net in a vital away win which saw Ipswich stay in ninth spot, four points clear of 10th-placed Blackburn Rovers.
