Aston Villa boss Dean Smith wants to see a reaction from his players after a run of poor results.

The Villains, who invested heavily in the squad this summer, are currently on a run of three losses in a row.

Their lack of points in the past few matches means Vlila are currently in the bottom half of the Premier League, with the latest defeat occurring against Arsenal on Friday.

Smith said, per the Express and Star: "It hurts losing three games on the spin. It hurts losing one game in this league.

"We had the bizarre situation of five minutes against Wolves when we were comfortable and followed it up on Friday.

"It hurts and I hope it hurts the players. I spoke in the dressing room at length after the game and hopefully we get the reaction and get back to winning ways against West Ham."
