Manchester United defender Chris Smalling says the players were delighted Sir Alex Ferguson and Eric Cantona visited the dressing room after their Champions League win at PSG.

Smalling was speaking with Sky Sports.

"It was [lively in the changing room] - moments like that you've got to savour and take in," Smalling said. "Obviously seeing Eric [Cantona] in the changing room and Sir Alex, you could tell everyone was together.

"It was great to see everyone come together, all the board, the owners, and then seeing Eric come through with everyone singing his name, it was just a really good vibe.

"Sir Alex came around and shook everyone's hand, saying congratulations, Eric said a little bit, that he was proud to watch the team play and win like that. Generally happy vibes.

"[It was] unbelievable. Going there you've got dreams and hopes of turning it around, but to do it in the way we did in the last minute. There's no better way to go through."
