Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has reassured the fans that the team will learn from the loss to Everton on Sunday.
The Red Devils were beaten 3-0 by the Toffees at Goodison Park in a game where the home side hit their opponents on the break.
Goals from James McCarthy, John Stone and Kevin Mirallas gave Everton all three points and Red Devils centre-back Smalling is well aware it was a disappointing display which will teach the team a valuable lesson.
"Everton were very compact and we could not find the gaps and break them down," he said.
"That is going to be the way that teams line up against us though after the run of results we have had.
"We've got four games left and we need to play much better than we did today.
"We'll make sure we learn from this. I think you'll see a different Manchester United next Saturday."
United next take on 13th-placed West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday.
