Slavia Prague fullback Coufal set for West Ham medical

West Ham United are close to confirming the signing of Slavia Prague fullback Vladimír Coufal.

The 28-year-old, who has won two Czech titles with the club, is ready for his big move to the Premier League.

Sky Sports reports the player will join for a reported £5 million fee.

The move was confirmed on social media by Slavia president Jaroslav Tvrdik.

It gives manager David Moyes more options at fullback, and Coufal will compete with Ben Johnson and Ryan Fredericks for a starting spot.

The latter is out injured with a hamstring problem, which is why the Hammers urgently brought in another player in the right back position.
