Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is looking for more defensive cohesion at Anfield this season.
Skrtel believes the players in the Reds squad who play in defence can all improve further and he is looking forward to moving forward as a group.
"For me, I hope there is a lot of improvement still to come. I am 24 as is Daniel Agger and that is still very young for a centre-back," Skrtel said.
"Every day in training you can learn from players like Jamie. Every day I watch him, and last season Sami Hyypia - that helps me in my job.
"It is very important and very good for us. Hopefully when we play in the future the things we learn every day will come through in our games.
"I have been competing not only with Daniel but also Jamie. Everyone wants to play but when you don't you just have to wait for your chance. You have to show you are a good player."
