Skipper Ramos STAYING with Real Madrid

Captain Sergio Ramos says he wants to stay at Real Madrid after holding talks with club president Florentino Perez.

Perez said on Wednesday that Spain defender Ramos, who is contracted until 2021, asked to leave on a free transfer and move to the Chinese Super League.

The 33 year old told a news conference in Madrid on Thursday he wants to end his career at the Bernabeu.

"There has been too much speculation about my future and I wanted to reiterate my commitment to the club," said Ramos, who has been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League.

"My relationship with the president is similar to that of a father and son.

"I want to reiterate that I want to see out my contract at Real Madrid.

"There is an offer from China and if I didn't feel wanted than it's an alternative, but at present my deal is with Real Madrid and my plan is to see out my contract.

"There has been too much speculation and I wanted to clear this matter up."
