Sissoko slams Watford teammates for mistakes against Leicester

Watford midfielder Moussa Sissoko pointed the finger at his teammates after a 4-2 loss to Leicester City.

As Claudio Ranieri returned to the club where he won the Premier League, his Hornets were unable to pick up their Premier League form.

Sissoko, the Watford captain, believes that too many matches this season have been undecided by individual errors by Watford players.

"I think we started well, but we conceded the first goal and we are disappointed because [William] Troost-Ekong thought someone told him to leave the ball to clear it," said Sissoko.

"OK, we made a mistake, but I think we came back into the game with the penalty. After that, we lacked some concentration when they scored the second one.

"They scored the third goal just before half-time, and we said if we came back and scored early that could change the game. We scored and it was an open game with the weather - it was difficult to play in the second half.

"We tried our best, but it wasn't enough and that is why we lost the game. I think we need to learn from our mistakes because since I arrived there have been many games when I think we should have done much better, but we made some mistakes."
