Sissoko, Perez to remain with Newcastle

Newcastle United will not allow star duo Ayoze Perez and Moussa Sissoko to leave the club during the January transfer window, according to reports from the Chronicle.

Newcastle have a tendency to lose their top players during the January transfer window as evidenced by the departures of the likes of Andy Carroll, Yohan Cabaye and Demba Ba in recent years and during the current edition of the winter transfer phase, striker Perez and midfielder Sissoko have been linked with a possible St. James' Park departure.

Italian club Napoli are keen on France international Sissoko while Manchester United and Tottenham have both been credited with interest in Spaniard Perez.

As a huge source of relief to Newcastle fans though, it has been claimed by the Chronicle that the Magpies will not be allowing either Perez or Sissoko to leave this month as Steve McClaren's men strive to move out of the relegation zone in the second half of the campaign.
