Sissoko a doubt as Spurs consider resting Dier, Rose in Moscow

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino states that he could rest the duo of Eric Dier and Danny Rose for the midweek Champions League encounter against CSKA Moscow.

Tottenham suffered a very disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Monaco in their opening Champions League game a few weeks ago and as a result, Spurs will be desperate to claim a good result when they square off against CSKA on Tuesday night.

The key pair of midfielder Dier and left-back Rose have been rated as doubts ahead of the clash due to injury and now Pochettino has gone on to claim that he is assessing whether to rest or risk the two players for the encounter in Russia.

Pochettino also indicated that summer signing Moussa Sissoko will be checked on ahead of the Group E encounter.

The Argentine manager said: "We will assess Moussa.

"We have some players like Eric Dier and Danny Rose who are very close to fitness, and we have to see whether we will take some risks of not."
