Sir Jim Ratcliffe is again being linked with a takeover of Roman Abramovich's Chelsea.
The Times says the UK's richest man - whose wealth dwarfs industrialist-turned-media mogul Sir Len Blavatnik and Sir Philip Green - is keen to take charge at Stamford Bridge.
Sir Jim made his fortune with petrochemicals company Ineos but has always wanted to acquire a Premier League football club.
The 66-year-old is worth in excess of £21billion and recently purchased Team Sky.
He is a season ticket holder at Chelsea and is seriously exploring the idea of buying the club.
Abramovich reportedly requires £2.5b to hand the Blues over, more than 15 years after buying the club for just £140m.
