Sir Alex making move to bring Pochettino to Man Utd

Sir Alex Ferguson is making a move to bring PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino to Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked by United today, with his former assistant coach Michael Carrick placed in charge as caretaker.

TalkSPORT reports Ferguson is leading the charge to bring Pochettino to the club, who have already held talks with the Argentine's advisors.

Pochettino left Spurs in November 2019, just months after losing the Champions League final to Liverpool, and after a year away from the game, he returned to take over Paris Saint Germain earlier this year.

The Argentine's PSG side failed to win the Ligue 1 title last season, finishing second behind Lille.

This campaign they are 12 points clear at the top of the table having had a huge summer transfer window that saw the arrivals of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos among others.

Ferguson remains heavily involved with United at board level and has long regarded Pochettino highly.
