Sion striker Mario Balotelli clashed with opposition FC Basel fans on Sunday.

During the 0-0 draw against FC Basel, Balotelli flipped off their fans.

The former Inter Milan and AC Milan striker Balotelli was left frustrated when not awarded a free-kick during the second-half.

As fans urged him to get up, a frustrated Balotelli flipped them off before running away.

Sion president Christian Constantin later said: "There was an indisputable free kick on Mario before this and the red card against us. If the whistle had been blown there, all this would never have happened.

"Regarding the finger, I haven't seen the pictures yet. But if VAR did not intervene, then the case is closed for me."
