South African great and former West Ham striker Benni McCarthy is now on the coaching staff at Sint-Truiden.
McCarthy admits entering coaching on the advice of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who he worked with at Porto.
He recalled to So Foot: "I asked him if he saw me becoming a coach and he said: 'Benni, you have a very good vision of the game, you know the players, you can become a great coach'.
"That was enough for me!"
At Sint-Truiden, McCarthy has several Chelsea players under his eye, with Victorian Angban, Cristian Cuevas and Joao Rodriguez all with the Belgian outfit on-loan.
