Danny Simpson says Leicester City are excited ahead of next week's Champions League debut.

Simpson is one of only a handful of Foxes stars who have experienced Europe's elite club competition.

He said: “I've played a couple of games but I was only young. I was coming in playing with lads at United – Cristiano Ronaldo and all of them.

“I took it for granted a little bit. Obviously you go through your career to this point, it's going to mean a lot more, especially playing for Leicester. Our team spirit is amazing.

“It's the best competition going and everyone wants to win it.

“Just the thought of the Champions League music being here at the King Power before the game, is amazing. It's round the corner and I can't wait."
