Simpson: Leicester players waiting with baited breath to see new boy Kramaric

Leicester City defender Danny Simpson admits he and his teammates are eager to play alongside Andrej Kramaric.

The prolific Croatian striker is set to be given the all-clear to begin his Premier League career this week with the Home Office expected to approve a work permit application so he can complete his £9.5million move form HNK Rijeka.

Ahead of the King Power Stadium meeting with Stoke City on Saturday, right-back Simpson told the Leicester Mercury that the Foxes were excited about the possible debut of the 23-year old who has already smashed home 28 goals in 31 appearances in his homeland this season.

"He hasn't been allowed to train with us yet but he seems like a good lad," said Simpson. "He is there watching and chatting to everyone.

"It would have been good for him to watch the Villa game and see the atmosphere.

"I am sure he can't wait to get going with us but there is a good little vibe among us.

"I have seen a bit of video footage of him in action and in one goal he turns about 30 yards out and volleys it into the corner. If he does a few like that I will be happy.

"His goalscoring record is impressive and hopefully he can bring that to the Premier League and get us goals."
