Simpson features as Leicester sneak past Fleetwood in Checkatrade Trophy

Leicester City U21's have kicked off their Checkatrade Trophy campaign with a dramatic come-from-behind victory over Fleetwood Town.

The Foxes drew the game level after being down by two goals and eventually won the match 7-6 on penalties. This means they will take two points away from the game in accordance to the Checkatrade Trophy rules.

Senior players Danny Simpson, Fousseni Diabate and Hamza Choudhury both featured for the Premier League club, with both pushing to impress Claude Puel.

Leicester will face Bury in their next Checkatrade Trophy match on October 10.
