Stoke keeper Steve Simonsen, currently on loan with Championship outfit Sheffield United, doesn't think the Blades will offer him a permanent deal at Bramall Lane. Simonsen looks set to remain on loan at the Blades from Stoke until the end of the season after United opened talks with the Potters about extending his stay.
However, Blades keeper Paddy Kenny completes a nine-month drug ban next week and Simonsen believes Kenny's return will mean no place for him in the squad.
"This club has already got a number one and a very good one at that," Simonsen told the Sheffield Star. "You can never say never but I wouldn't have thought so."
