Former Inter Milan coach Gigi Simoni is urging his old club to move quickly for Jose Mourinho.

The former Manchester United manager is in contact with AS Roma, but Simoni has urged Inter to seek to re-sign Mourinho.

"We need to rebuild the atmosphere. Mourinho had been the perfect choice as he was good at creating a strong group during his time at Inter," Simoni told FCInterNews.

"Of course, returns are complicated, but if you go different ways with (Luciano) Spalletti, which I respect, I would invest in the Portuguese. I'm for his return."
